In 2017, Larisa Iordache brought two highly difficult acrobatic elements into a single routine on balance beam.

The Romanian gymnast performed a full twisting back tuck (F) and a full twisting (G) in combination, worth 0.2 connection bonus, ending her routine with a round off (B) to back handspring (B) to triple twisting back layout (F), worth 0.1 series bonus.

Iordache is a two time European champion on the balance beam, having won the title in 2013 and 2017.

She is the 2012 European silver and 2017 European bronze medalist and two time World finalist (2013 and 2014) on the apparatus.

She also competed on the beam at the 2012 Olympics, replacing teammate Diana Bulimar, and qualified in fourth place at the 2020 Olympic Games but withdrew from the final due to injury.

The 26 year old athlete retired from gymnastics in 2021 as she was unable to recover from her injuries.
