Ukrainian gymnast Liubov Sheremeta stunned with her energetic and expressive floor routine at the 1996 World championships.

Sheremeta performed a double Arabian (E), a full in tuck (E), and a Rudi (C). She ends her routine with a long tumbling pass, a full and a half twisting back layout (C) to two and a half twisting back layout (D) to a front tuck, which is worth 0.2 connection bonus.

This is the last time for a Ukrainian gymnast to win a medal on floor exercise at a World championship.

Sheremeta tied for bronze with Romania's Lavinia MiloÈ™ovici. The gold medal was also a tie, between Romania's Gina Gogean and China's Kui Yuanyuan.

The former Ukrainian athlete had a fourth place finish on the uneven bars at the championship.

Sheremeta competed at the 1996 Olympic Games, where she finished fifth with her team and twenty second in the all around.

Her last major international competition was the 1997 World championships, where she placed sixth in the all around, seventh on the floor exercise and fourth on the uneven bars.

Ukrainian gymnasts who competed in World floor finals after Sheremeta's win:

Tatiana Yarosh - 6th - 1999

Alona Kvasha - 8th - 2003

Anastasiia Bachynska - 7th - 2021
