In the code of points, we have a free (aerial) walkover forward to rear support which is worth a C.
What would the beam mount be worth with a full twist?
The new mount was not received well by gymnastics fans, as it was deemed to be dangerous. Others believe that the mount won't get a high rating as the federation would want to discourage gymnasts from competing it.
This should get “awarded a lower value tk discourage dangerous gymnastics”.
Would rather see front 1.5/1 to arm support swing down (changing directions, Korbut style).
"This looks so cool and has to be TERRIBLE for her back."
"Painful and unique but not necessarily that difficult. C"
"This looks incredibly difficult to me—to complete the twist in time without rotating the flip too much, and landing square on the beam at the right angle to not fall forward or backward… yeesh."
"Probably should be an E but I feel like the WTC might want to discourage this, so D?"
"My back hurts watching that 😳"
In order for an element to be added to the code of points and be named after the gymnast, it must be successfully competed at an FIG competition or the Olympic/Youth Olympic Games.
