Russian gymnast Elena Gerasimova injured herself on vault during the all around final of the 2022 Russian Cup that is being currently held in Kaluga, Russia.
The 18 year old gymnast, who recently upgraded her vault to a double twisting Yurchenko, landed straight on one of her knees.
Visibly in pain, she was carried out on stretcher.
Gerasimova qualified in fifth place to the all around and in first place on the balance beam. She debuted her double twisting Yurchenko during the qualifications.
Last year, she was selected to represent the Russian Olympic Committe at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games as an individual gymnast.
