In 1992, Norwegian gymnast Anita Tomulevski competed a one armed Deltchev on the high bar. A Deltchev is a swing forward with ½ turn (180°) and salto forward straddled.

The release is rated a D.

In the mid nineties, 2000 Olympic beam champion and China's Liu Xuan originated the one armed giant which she connected to a Geinger release.

Considered too risky, the FIG gave the element a B rating to discourage gymnasts from competing it.

If the one armed Deltchev were to be performed nowadays, the code will consider it a one armed giant (B) to a Deltchev (D), which is worth no bonus.

Tomulevski competed at the 1992 Olympic Games. She was the last Norwegian gymnast to compete at an Olympic Games up until Julie Erichsen in Tokyo 2020.

After her retirement, she switched to pole vault.
