Italian gymnasts dominated the 2022 Mediterranean Games that was held between 26–29 June in Oran Algeria by winning all the gold medals and most of the silver medals.

The Squadra Azzura won a total of 11 medals, six gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.

In team final, the French and Spanish teams won silver and bronze respectively behind the Italian team.

Italian gymnasts Martina Maggio and Asia D'Amato went one-two in the all around, floor exercise, and balance beam finals, with Maggio winning the all around and balance beam final and D'Amato winning the floor exercise final.

In the vault final, D'Amato clinched the gold medal while Italy's first year senior Angela Andreoli took the bronze medal.

In the uneven bars final, Martina Maggio won second place with teammate Giorgia Villa winning first place.
