Rebeca Andrade had an impressive performance on the uneven bars in her 2022 competition debut.

The Brazilian gymnast competed a routine that is similar to the one that she competed at the qualifications of last year's World championship, except that she did not connect the pak salto to Van Leeuwen.

She did not debut her double twisting double back tuck, which she showed in her training videos.

She received a score of 14.667 (6.1) advancing in first place for Saturday's final.

The 23 year old gymnast is only competing on bars and beam at this competition to save herself for other competitions.

Andrade has said before that her favorite event is the uneven bars. She won a silver medal on the apparatus at the 2021 World championships.

2007 World all around bronze medalist Jade Barbosa qualified in second place with a score of 12,933.
