US former gymnast Dominique Moceanu tweeted a video of one of her scariest falls in competition using hashtag #tbt, short for #ThrowbackThursday, a social media trend where users post old images or videos.

The video shows Moceanu's hands slipping from the bars, after generating so much power to dismount the apparatus. She ends up flipping off the bars and painfully landing on her knees.

"#tbt YIKES! πŸ˜³πŸ’œ #gymnastics,"she tweeted.

According to the 2022-2024 CoP, gymnasts receive a deduction of a full point if they fail to land feet first on their elements.

They also receive another full point deduction for the fall.

The routine took place at the 1995 U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

Full routine:

The following year, Moceanu infamously hit her head on the balance beam during her acro series at the event final of the Atlanta Olympic Games.

The retired gymnast is best known for being part of the 1996 US Olympic gold winning team.

She is also a silver medalist on the balance beam and a bronze medalist with her team at the 1995 World championships.

The 40 year old athlete recently welcomed a baby girl whom she named Victoria Olympia Canales .

Last week, gymnasts took to Instagram to share their bloopers as part of "a humbling athletic moment" trend on the social media.
