The double twisting double back tuck dismount has gotten increasingly popular in the past few years, thanks to its high difficulty.

Fabrichnova Biography

Fabrichnova, who had a short lived career, is mostly known for originating the double twisting double back tuck dismount off the uneven bars.

She turned senior in 1993, where she competed at the World championships finishing in fifth place in the all around final and sixth place in the balance beam final.

In 1994, she won silver on the uneven bars and with her team at the European championships and bronze on balance beam and with her team at the World championships.

She was an alternate for the 1996 Russian Olympic team.

It is worth mentioning that Fabrichnova competed her signature dismount as a junior in 1992.


Was Fabrichnova really the first gymnast to perform it?

No, Soviet gymnast Svetlana Kozlova competed the skill as a junior in 1988 according to International Gymnast Magazine.



Italian gymnast Chiara Ferrazzi competed it in 1992.
