Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's ongoing legal battle has become a hot topic on social media.

Depp is suing Heard for libel after she wrote an op-ed piece in The Washington Post referring to herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse."

The American actor denies assaulting ex-wife accusing Heard of alleging abuse in order to advance her own agenda.

Spanish gymnast Roxana Popa, who was part of the Spanish team that competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, weighed in on the trial.

"I am a defender for equality and more on issues of GENDER VIOLENCE. After all, they will know the faults of those who were, and since everything happened, I have not seen the full trial nor do I have proof of evidence beyond RRSS (and we know what RRSS are for) We can draw conclusions but never the absolute truth," the 24 year old gymnast replied to a Q&A on her Instagram Stories according to Google Translate.

She has also posted a video which has texts that read "The moment Amber Heard realizes its over for her after she listened to her voice note telling Johnny Depp no one will believe him if he tells anyone she abused him. She's done."

Popa was born in Romania to Romanian parents and moved to Spain in 2004.

She made her senior debut in 2013, where she finished 6th in the all around and 7th on floor exercise at the European championships.

At the Tokyo Olympic Games, she qualified to the all around final where she placed 22nd.
