Elena Gerasimova is set to compete at the upcoming Russian championships, which will be held between April 6 and 17 in Kazan, Russia.
Gerasimova will be joining Tokyo champions Viktoria Listunova and Vladislava Urazova, and Maria Minaeva and Yana Vorona, who competed at the last World championships.
Olympic and World champion Angelina Melnikova will not be taking part at the competition as she is currently on a break from the sport due to physical and moral fatigue. She will resume full training in June.
Gerasimova, who went to Tokyo as an individual, was the only Russian gymnast to not win any medal at the Olympic Games.
The 17 year old gymnast is the 2019 Junior World champion on balance beam and bronze medalist on floor exercise.
