US gymnast Riley McCusker shared on her Tiktok account a video of what could have been her Olympic floor routine.

Last year, McCusker was the heavy favorite to earn the second individual spot for the Tokyo Olympics because of her medal potential on bars.

However, it went to Mykayla Skinner who went on to win a silver medal on vault in Tokyo.

The US Olympic team consisted of Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, Grace McCallum and Jordan Chiles, which won silver in the Olympic team final competition. The first individual spot was earned by Jade Carey, who won gold on floor exercise in the Olympic event finals.

"This was gonna be my Olympic floor routine. It holds such a special place in my heart ❤️," Riley captioned the video.

"Devastated is an understatement. My heart is shattered into millions of pieces. It’s so hard to have come this far and been so close to my dreams to fall just short," wrote Riley on Instagram after the US Olympic team announcement last year.

The American gymnast made her NCAA debut in January of this year. She competes for the University of Florida.

McCusker was part of the US World gold medal winning team at the 2018 World championships.
