Rebeca Andrade continues to make history for her country at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Andrade won gold on vault during the women's artistic gymnastics event finals making her the first female Brazilian gymnast to win an Olympic gold medal.

The silver medal went to US Mykayla Skinner, who replaced teammate Simone Biles in the apparatus final.

Yeo Seo-jeong captured the bronze medal becoming the first South Korean female gymnast to reach an Olympic podium.

US Jade Carey, who was the heavy favorite to win gold in the final, tripped on her steps running down the runway on her first vault resulting in her competing a simple tucked Yurchenko. She finished in last position.
