Japan is r
eady for competition!

The 2021 Worlds Japanese team has been announced.

It will consist of:

Mai Murakami, who became the first female Japanese gymnast to win an Olympic medal when she won a bronze on floor exercise at the last Olympic Games. She is also three time World medalist- gold on floor in 2017, silver in the all around and bronze on floor in 2018.

Ashikawa Urara, who finished 6th on balance beam at the Tokyo Olympics.

Hatakeda Hitomi, Tokyo Olympian and four time 2019 Summer Universiade gold medalist.

Yuna Hiraiwa, Tokyo Olympian.

As for the men's team:

Olympic champions Daiki Hashimoto and Kohei Uchimura, Kazuma Kaya, Kazuki Minami, Keisuke Asato, and Hidenobu Yonekura.

The World championships will be held in Kitakyushu, Japan from October 18–24, 2021.

The World Championships are traditionally not held in Olympic years, but the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics caused the 2021 event to fall during the same year.
