USA Gymnastics announced that Simone Biles has withdrawn from the vault and uneven bars final at Tokyo Olympic Games, as she continues to face psychological blocks on many of her skills.

"After further consultation with medical staff, Simone Biles has decided to withdraw from the event finals for vault and the uneven bars," USAG said in a statement. "She will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether to compete in the finals for floor exercise and balance beam."

Mykayla Skinner, who finished in fourth place on vault in qualifications but was not able to advance to the final due to two per country rule, will replace Biles.

She will be competing alongside teammate Jade Carey, who qualified in second position.

On the uneven bars, Simone will be replaced by first reserve Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos of France.

If she pulled out of the floor exercise and balance beam finals, Great Britain's Jennifer Gadirova (floor) Japan's Urara Ashikawa (beam) will compete instead of her.

Yesterday, Biles released a video of herself on Instagram Stories during training struggling with the twisties. She also held a Q&A session on the social media.
