Side Somi as a mount! How cool is that.
A Gif showing a gymnast training and nailing a side Somi mount on balance beam, has wowed gymnastics fans. The gymnast in question is Maja Hribar of Slovenia. According to a video on Youtube, Hribar was training the element in 2001.
In order for a new element to be added to the CoP and named after the gymnast performing it, the element must be successfully performed (without a fall) for the first time at an FIG Official Competition: World Championships, Olympic Games, or Youth Olympic Games.
