At 1993 World championships, Shannon Miller had a disastrous routine on balance beam during the event finals.

Miller suffered three falls on the apparatus, the first fall took place after her back pike (C), the second after her flic flac with 1/4 turn while the third one was after she landed her dismount which a G rated full in tuck.

According to Youtube commenters, the American gymnast had the flu and was suffering from stomach pain. At the same championships, Miller won three gold medals, in the all around, on uneven bars and floor exercise.

With seven Olympic medals, Miller is the most decorated US gymnast Male or Female at the Olympic games.
