At 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Shallon Olsen became the first Canadian gymnast ever to compete an Amanar.

The vault helped Olsen to qualify to the event final. For her Amanar, she scored 15.300 in the qualification and 14.966 in the event final.

Under the 2013-2016 CoP, Amanar is worth a 6.3 and under the 2017-2020 CoP, it is worth a 5.8.

Her second vault is a rarely done one; a round off half on one and a half forward twisting tuck. The vault is worth a 5.9 under the 2013-2016 CoP and a 5.4 under the 2017-2020 CoP.

The vault was originated by Russia's Svetlana Khorkina.

Olsen, who turned senior in the Olympic year, finished last in the event final.
