German Pauline Schaefer performed a very beautiful floor routine during the qualification in Rio which earned her a reserve spot for the floor final.

She opens her floor routine with an almost stuck F rated double layout and performs a forward double twisting layout (D) and a double back pike (D) as her second and third tumbling pass.

She does a double turn in back attitude (D) to a single turn with leg below horizontal (A), worth no connection bonus, and an E rated quadruple turn with leg below horizontal.

The choreography suited the music. The German gymnast scored 14.300, getting her a second reserve spot.

Schaefer turned senior in 2013. At 2015 World championships, she earned a bronze medal on balance beam.
