It has been officially confirmed that Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade has withdrawn from the World championships which is being held in Montreal.

Andrade injured her right knee on vault during training subsequently was pulled out of the podium training.

It was revealed today that the 18 year old gymnast has tore her ACL for the second time on the same knee.

The first time was in 2015 where she had to withdraw from the World championship.

Andrade is a promising gymnast who was a favorite to win a medal or more in Montreal. She recently submitted a new skill to be named after her which was given a G rating.

As Brasil sent only two women to the Worlds, Thais Fidelis will be the only female Brazilian gymnast in Montreal.
