Catalina Ponor has showed impressive and difficult skills during Montreal's podium training.

She did a full twisting double layout on floor exercise, worth an H and full in Pike on balance beam, worth a G.

The last time the Romanian gymnast competed the full in pike dismount was at the events final of the 2012 London Olympics, where she finished fourth. While she has never competed the full twisting double layout before. 

After the podium training, Ponor said that Montreal will be her last competition.

When asked how would this championships be special for her, she smiled and said "I want to say but I do not want to say because it is gonna be my last one, that's why it is gonna be an important one for me."

After the Rio Olympic Games, Catalina said that she has set her eyes on the following Olympic Games which will be held ion Tokyo in 2020.

The 30 year old gymnast will compete on balance beam and floor exercise in Montreal. She said she is content about her podium training. She plans to throw her full difficulty only in the finals and that she will compete with the aim of doing her best rather than with the aim of winning medals.

The last time Ponor won an individual World medal was in 2005, a bronze on balance beam. Her last World championships was in 2011.
