Gymcastic caught up with Catalina Ponor after the qualification and asked her about teammate Larisa Iordache's injury.

The 30 year old gymnast said that Larisa's injury had her shook.

"I was trying to calm her down but my hands were shaking so much," said Ponor. "I tried to catch her head and calm her down but I was so scared for myself first because what happened to her happened to me in 2011, I know what it means to have that type of injury."

The Romanian gymnast said that the injury has affected her and made her fear of suffering the same fate. She stated that it was the reason why she did not do her best on floor exercise.

Ponor, who was one of a favorites to win a medal on balance beam, fell off the apparatus ending her dreams of winning a medal in Montreal.

Iordache suffered a complete Achilles torn while warming up on floor exercise just before the qualification which led to her withdrawal of the competition.
