Rebeca Andrade has undergone surgery on her injured right knee.

The Brazilian gymnast has torn her ACL, for the second time in the same knee, during training at the World championships which was held in Montreal this month.

It has not been announced yet how much time is needed for the 18 year old gymnast to recover. However, rehabilitation process generally can take up to six months or more.

The 2016 Olympian first tore her ACL in 2015 which took her out of 2015 season.

Andrade was one the favorites to shine in Montreal. She was one of several gymnasts who got injured there.
