Dutch gymnast Lisa Top has decided to call it quits.

Last year, Top helped her country to qualify a full team to the Olympics for the first time since 1976. Sadly, she did not get the chance to make the Olympic team due a serious knee injury she sustained last May.

Her most successful competition was the European Games which was held in Baku in 2015 where she won two bronze medals, with her team and on vault.

Top turned senior in 2012 where the Dutch gymnastics federation had only qualified one representative to the London Olympics. Top finished second in the all around at Dutch Nationals behind Celine Van Gerner Hence, Gerner was the one chosen to represent the country in London.
