Russian gymnast Anastasia Grishina will have to miss the Russian Nationals due to re-injuring her knee.

It was reported that Grishina  re-injured the same knee she had surgery on to repair a torn ACL last season, when she under rotated her double twisting Yurchenko on vault during training last week. Luckily for her, she did not tore anything or break a bone. The doctors informed her that the injury is not a serious one.

She will presumably miss the European championships in April.

Last year, the Russian gymnast partially tore her ACL after landing one of her tumbling passes on floor exercise at Russian Nationals, which forced her to miss most of the 2014 season.

The unfortunate gymnast who was a part of the 2012 Olympic silver medal winning team, also suffered from back problems in 2013 and had to skip the World championships.

Grishina's last major international competition was two years ago at European championships where she won a bronze in the all around and another one on balance beam.

The Russian nationals will take place between fourth and eighth of March, while the European championships will be held from 15 to 19 April 2015  in Montpellier, France.
