Romanian national television (TVR) informed us that Catalina Ponor (27) is determined to come back to elite gymnastics.

After a couple of months in Puerto Rico, where she visited her boyfriend Tommy Ramos, Catalina gave a short interview to TVR, in the airport, where she talked about her decision to comeback.

"I had a lot of talk with Tommy and my mom because they were somehow against it. It's normal they are concerned about my health. I'm very stubborn by nature and I always win."

The three time Olympic champion stated that gymnastics is her life and the thought of competing for her 3rd Olympics motivates her. In all the time, she spent in Puerto Rico she kept in touch with Bellu and Bitang and trained as hard as she could.

"I'm no Super Ponor or a phenomenon, I'm just a normal gymnast who worked very hard since she was little, a gymnast who's now trying to show all her potential"

After a couple of days of her home return, Catalina will go to Izvorani, the Romanian national WAG team training center.

"Very few people believed in me when I returned to elite gymnastics in 2011, maybe even fewer believe in me now, but the important thing is that I have my family/dear ones' support" the Romanian gymnast wrote on Facebook.

After Catalina's announcement, gymnastics fans are now wondering: is Sandra Izbasa next?
