Italy’s Carlotta Ferlito has pull out from the Italian National camp where the 2014 European team will be chosen, hence she is officially out of  the competition.

Ferlito took to Twitter to deny rumors which have been circulating around regarding her withdrawal.

“Guys, I’d like to clarify something. I have a problem regarding my health and the doctors stopped me from training for at least two weeks. I can’t even go to the gym or do some light training. I must take a break” wrote Ferlito.

“So it is not true that i wasn’t chosen to go to European championships because i was too busy acting like a diva. ”

“I can’t even try to make the team since i cannot train. That’s the first time I fail to be called to the National team after seven years and I’m sorry but I can’t do anything about it.”

The Italian gymnast was set to compete at Jesolo last month but had to withdraw due to a muscle strain. Her last competition was at the American cup where she finished last.

Ferlito is the 2011 European silver medalist on balance beam and the 2012 European bronze medalist with her team. She also competed at the London Olympic games and at 2011 and 2013 World championships.
