Russia’s Aliya Mustafina who took bronze yesterday at women’s all around competition in Antwerp, expressed her amazement towards the American gymnasts consistency in an interview she had after the all around final.

A bronze medal in the all around is exactly what Mustafina had in mind, she also said she lacked health to finish in the first two places and she is happy to perform well on her new elements.

With Larisa Iordache of Romania and Yao Jinnan of China falling off the beam, Mustafina did not panic and only focused on performing well. Her goal was to finish the competition without any falls.

However, Mustafina expressed her concern on her new bars routine as she has only been training it for a month unlike her routine at the Olympic where she trained for two years.

When asked what she needs in order to beat the American gymnast, her answer was vault.
