Nadia Comaneci is one of most popular and famous gymnasts in the world, best known for being the first gymnast to earn the perfect ten at an Olympic Games. But what many of us don’t know is that the Romanian legend is not the most perfect ten earner.
Comaneci scored the perfect 10 sixteen times in her entire career including nine at Olympic games, Montreal and Moscow, Nevertheless three gymnasts succeeded in having their perfect 10 routines outnumber Comaneci’s.

Who are they?

Ecaterina Szabo of Romania, Elena Shushunova of Soviet Union and Daniela Silivas of Romania.
Ecaterina Szabo, born in 1967, is four time Olympic champion, 10 times World medalist and five times European medalist.
Szabo received the perfect 10, seventeen times during her career, two times on bars, seven times on floor, four times on beam and four times on bars.

Elena Shushunova, born in 1969, is one of the few gymnasts who won all around titles at Europeans,Worlds and Olympics. She is two time World and European vault champion, World floor champion and European bars champion. She also has her own signature skill, ‘Shushunova’ on bars which was given a G in 2006-2008 and 2009-2012 CoPs  and was downgraded to an E in the 2013-2016 CoP.

Shushunova received the perfect 10 nineteen times during her career, including six times at Olympics and five times at Worlds. She scored the perfect score, seven times on floor, eight times on vault, two times on bars and beam.

Daniela Silivas, born in 1972, is the most successful gymnast at 1988 Olympics having medalled at every final, three of them are gold. She is also six time World individual champion and five time European champion.

Silivas’ signature skill is double twisting double back, rated an H in today’s CoP and is highly performed nowadays.

Silivas received the perfect 10 twenty three times during her career, twelve times on floor, two times on beam, eight times on bars and one time on vault.
